Good article but I believe we still need a "backbone". By default right now that would be the use of fission. Not a good choice. My choice would have been fusion but as we slide down the backside of the peak there is not likely to be enough time to complete the development of this preferred technology.Someone knew 40 years ago that we needed to work exhaustively on fusion then and took the easier path. May god have mercy on their soul.
