It sucks bad, I think. I bought it based on the hype. I will NEVER NEVER buy another game again without trying it somehow, and I will NEVER EVER buy another EA game, period. They've jerked me over too many times.
It was good. IT didnt work too well in PvP since all an enemy player had to do to dodge a combo was walk away while your character stood in place swinging wildly at the air.
The first 20 levels were the best you will find in any MMO, with 4 different storylines depending on your archetype, very story oriented. Sadly, after you left the 'beginners' area, it was just a world without much to do. It was still ok until about level 40, then it just died.I wish they had done the whole game just like the first 20 levels.
More like time = WoW killer. No matter what, eventually something will dethrone WoW. Maybe another game by Blizzard, maybe one of the games in development now, maybe one made in the future, or maybe some other paradigm that we don't know yet.
Im not going to get into a deep debate here ill just say that i left AoC around 5 months ago along with a couple of hundred thousands of others and was so pissed off and frastruated by millions of Failcoms broken promises, lack of content and their complete and total cluelessness of what has to be done to improve the game that, i was 100% sure ill never come back. But after reading an article about some of the lead funcoms staff stepping aside i got interested, started reading forums and was pretty surprised that people are now reporting client stability, PvP ranks/rewards and in fact a healthy server population along with new leveling areas. I resubbed few days ago and am enjoying the game just like i once did. On top of all DX10 client is just breathtaking, if you have the hardware to run it of course. And if 1.5 patch will be done right and i believe funcom understands that its their last shot, this game could actually still have a future. I suggest you people give it another try either now or when itemization patch is out. As much as i hated this game at some point, it will really be sad to see this beautiful game completely fold, it could be years till we see something with such potential. Just my 2 cent..... sorry for the broken English its not my 1st language :)

Are you talking about The Odyssey by Justin Schumacher (Bugaboo) here? Cuz I remember doing all those things in that game.
