The Taqiyya allows shiite Muslims to lie in order to decieve their enemies. If you dont think that's what Ahmadinejad is doing, then you are pretty damn Naive. This man is one of the followers 12th Imam, the coming mahdi. Only by causing a world wide outbreak of violence and bloodshed will bring forth the second coming of the Mahdi, the muslim Messiah, and the establishment of a global Islamic state. don't believe me, look it up. Basically, he wants to bring about the apocolypse. did I mention he is having Tehran's city planning committe redesign the city for the last day? That he's building superhighways that stop at the Iraqi border? Why is this a big deal you ask? The Mahdi is supposed to reappear in Babylon, which is Modern day Iraq.

I don't quite understand what you're driving at here. Everything didn't go as planned. Bush/Cheney weren't counting on a PR mess that they wouldn't be able to get out of. They weren't counting on an unpopularity rivaling Nixon. They had absolutely no idea of the insurgent power that they would be facing when they went in. I don't believe they really thought they would be greeted as liberators, with flowers, but I do believe that they expected it to be a hell of a lot easier, just as every other coup they've committed, or heavily funded. They were thinking that they'd go in, get out, have in some sort of puppet government, and all would be well. Of course saying "acting as arrogant bullies" is putting it kindly. I was quoting (should have put quotation marks) what Ahmadinejad had said in his speech. Although, there is a typo that I made. I meant to say 'does not mean he ISN'T right in almost every regard...."

I agree with nearly everything, except that last line where you rolled in Pakistan with the rest of the countries... If anything Pakistan has more women's rights than Iran.. they have the freedom to wear whatever they want... last time i checked, you still have to wear a burka in iran.and anyways, Pakistan has never practiced stoning as a capital punishment, has always had women graduating from university's and has always believed in equality, regardless of religion, gender or color - Reasons for its partition with India.... BTWAll speech's to the UN given by delegates is available on the country's UN PR Site...http://www.un.int/iran/statements/generalassembly/ ...for the official pdf that was probably given out...
