If we can slow down light, I wonder if the whole Futurama thing about INCREASING the speed of light could possibly follow as well.It would be highly amusing.

Uhh, no where in this article does it say they have stopped light. The reason being is that you can not stop light completely. I don't know why it even mentions it when it clearly says they have only managed to slow it down to 670mph.
I did a report on this a few years ago in physics class, everyone looked at me like I was insane. Old News, they shouldve done something with it by now.

I remember hearing a few years ago that somebody had slowed light down to about 35mph. This IS old news.
