wrt54g.thermoman.de— This guy offers the Sveasoft firmware for download at no extra cost (free as in beer)! He also talks about how he was abused by Sveasoft and how they are in violation of the GPL.

It seems that the people developing the Sveasoft firmware need to figure out a new way to finance the project. Why not just ask for a donation or something?
As much as I applaud the effort, this free, and very attractive, software could also be a plant containing some nasties. Has anyone checked it out? Is there some way to verify it?Yup, I'm paranoid.
Alot of people are paranoid. I havent tried this personally yet, but the guy hosting the site is pretty keen on providing MD5 and checksum hashes of the firmware. We just need to compare this the Sveasoft ones. Sveasoft may of created a backdoor in their own firmware anyhow!
This firmware does work I've used all of it. The thing is its actually not all that great... The Freeman GUI is way too colorful and flashy. I like dd-wrt better (www.dd-wrt.com). It has the same exact features and is nicer looking
