thats the only big thing i hate about Skype.. there are no plug-ins, just add-on programms (which slowes my system down more than (for example) msn messenger plug-ins though i've used this one and is really good!
If you want a lighter program than Audacity that only records your side of the convo, then Mplat is fine. The quality's alright, but good enough to hear someone clearly.
I'm buying Power Gramo, best I've used yet. I really like "Pamela" too but more expensive. But Pamela does give you more options if you want to look into downloading and trying that out.
I couldn't find mplat... just pamela, which claims to be free but only allows 15 minute recordings. Pro version = $24.95; PowerGramo = $19.95; MX Skype Recorder (<a class="user" href="http://www.skyperec.com)">http://www.skyperec.com)</a> = $14.95; Gizmo Project - Build in free! :P
I wouldn't recommend Skype Call Recorder. It tries to connect to some russian address (takkak.ru) when it's first started, and then when I tried to uninstall it, it blue screened. Help pages say that you need to set it as "safe application" in your firewall settings, because it only tries to connect to skype locally. This however is completely false. It tries to call home.
Hm... all of this recorders haven't such features like online storage...
I'm only found Simkl <a href="http://download.simkl.com">Call Recorder</a> that can do this. Pretty good application with possibility of fulltext search, share calls etc.

It didn't record both sides for me... just my side. I can do the same from Audacity!

It's a paranoia. I've checked this program after installation. It's indeed connecting to internet, but it is connecting to <a class="user" href="http://voipcallrecording.com.">http://voipcallrecording.com.</a> (to be particullar it is connecting to <a class="user" href="http://voipcallrecording.com/update)">http://voipcallrecording.com/update)</a> and checking for updates, as most of programs do. After this it is showing this information in program window. Check this page and you will find only 4 lines of text with the latest version information.
