@inrainYou think Moore is doing all of this to make people aware of serious problems? Ya, I doubt that very much. Michael Moore is all about the money.
We ignore unreasonable and irrational idiots who we'ld rather break our own leg off in their ass rather than waste a word on them. Mental midgets, obviously like you, don't have one small clue as to what's actually happening but, insist on whining like women. Still have questions?, of course you do. Watch this instead;Regurgitating The Apple: How Modern Liberals "Think"<a class="user" href="http://www.heritage.org/Press/Events/ev030507a.cfm">http://www.heritage.org/Press/Events/ev030507a.cfm</a>
As a Flint native and rather big fan of Michael's work that goes back to the early 70's, I've seen just about every attack possible against him. I got sick of repeating myself, so I wrote this op/ed piece. It was published September 2006 in the local Flint newspaper. Michael Moore Debunker’s KitHere for the first time is the simple “Top 10 Michael Moore Facts Debunker’s kit.” Just copy and paste after each Moore rant you see, because the kit has an automatic feature which addresses each and every anti-Michael Moore rant automatically!10. Michael Moore’s official occupation is listed as “documentary filmmaker” not “wealthy industrialst,” “sugar daddy,” “billionarie philanthriapist,” “Flint Michigan Chamber of Commerce Secretary,” or “Director of Tourism.” Please consult your dictionary for terms and conditions of this agreement.9. The amount of death threats Mr. Moore gets from wackos during public appearances in Flint requires mandatory local law enforcement protection for the entire visit. If you wonder why Mr. Moore does not do more for Flint, you can obtain an easy answer by walking in front of a mirror. Because his enemies carry guns and his staff only carry cameras, the numbers just don’t work out. Therefore, it is just about impossible to setup a film production company in Flint or sponsor a film festival there. Instead, he chose conservative Traverse City, Michigan, about as far away from Flint as you can be in the Great Lakes State. Ironically, Traverse City is not far from the “gun from bank” scene in Bowling For Columbine. This is a convenient coincidence. If he gets death threats there, he can get guns and cash in a flash.8. Mr. Moore’s “luxury” apartment in NYC is about the square footage of your dog bowl. Speaking of averages, as of 2005, the price of an “average” size apartment in Manhattan is over $1 million. Please, move your big fat house to Manhattan, they need more space.7. A Lincoln Town car is NOT a “chauferred limo” -- it is what you get when you stick your hand up in the air and hail a cab in Queens.6. Anyone who cares about their child’s well being would not send their child to a public school in NYC, the best of which fill up in seconds of taking registrations. So, parents are often unable to find a good public school to send their child to. What to do? They find the closest private school and send them there instead. They do this in Flint too, it’s called C-A-T-H-O-L-I-C S-C-H-O-O-L.5. People who appear in documentary films such as Roger & Me, ARE NOT ACTORS. Just like courtroom witnesses, evening newscast crash victims, lost dogs, and those weird people with time on their hands that answer Gallup polls, you cannot pay these people or else you are no longer making a DOCUMENTARY. If the people who appeared in Roger & Me were so upset with Michael Moore because he did not pay them, then why did most of them, such as Deputy Fred, the Rabbit Lady, and the Amway Lady appear in the sequel, “Pets or Meat”, two years later? Huh?4. Michael Moore was born in Flint. Not Davison. His parents raised him in Davison, where he was elected to the school board at age 18, and tied the record for the youngest elected official in American history. My brother lives in Davison and paints houses. The houses are very small. He does not have to use much paint. It is not a suburb, it is a working-class small town.3. Michael Moore is not afraid of white people. Just really, really white people, like you.2. Michael Moore is not fat. You are watching “Super Size Me” a documentary he did not make.1. Michael Moore does not actually exist. It is only the 90% of your brain you don’t use that comes up with these stupid rants in the first place.
@gojedaFred Thompson is a POTENTIAL presidential candidate, I never said that he is already a candidate.<a class="user" href="http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2008-presidential-candidates/fred-thompson/">http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2008-presidential-candidates/fred-thompson/</a>Additionally, take a look at his experience in that profile. See that section on positions held? Where it says he's an American Enterprise Institute Fellow for Public Policy Research? That means that he's the policymaker, not Michael Moore. If it makes you feel any better, I hold Thompson to a much higher standard than Moore. I know that Moore doesn't try to elevate the debate as much as he tries to get headlines and make money; that's his job. I don't expect, nor do I think it's reasonable to demand, for Michael Moore to come up with an alternative health care system. As for the Democratic Party platform on the reforms necessary for the health care system and myriad other issues, I largely agree. I understand, however, that the current Congress will wait to unveil a number of meaningful policy initiatives until the second year of its term. It's an election year. That's politics. They also need to gang up on the Republicans and highlight some of the mismanagement before they can justify wild policy changes and pressure the Republican members of Congress to vote for wild policy changes. That's politics. As for the reality of life in Cuba, I'm sure there are many abuses of human rights, just as there are those who are provided for. I don't know what it's like for "the average Cuban," but I don't think you do either. You only have a conspiratorial website (the origin of it's content and its funding are not published on the site and none of the stories are attributed to anyone in particular) to tell you what to think about Castro and Cuba. I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say in the last couple of sentences. What medicine was free? Why do you rely on shock value to score your final point? You were doing so well before.I'm not sure what is in your background that makes you care so deeply about this issue, but it seems that you have some genuine interest in this topic. Are you or some of your family Cuban emigres?
america, the most backward of all industrial nations, desperately needs a single payer health care system. american doctors are so bad it's small wonder that they are constantly being sued for their incompetence, the doctors in Canada and Europe are far superior than those hillbilly quacks that make up the american medical system.Michael Moore understands this, he understands that even relatively poor nations like Cuba have a much better health care system than america could dream of. republicans like thompson don't have a clue.
Hey idiot. Montecristos are not exported from Cuba. "Today, Altadis U.S.A. operates production facilities in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Alabama and Florida." (Altadis website). You can buy montecristos at virtually any cigar shop in the United States.
What is great is how everyone posting here avoids the issue and just slams Fred Thompson. They don't pay attention to the fact that Moore's movie was grossly exaggerated and aided by governments that intentionally tried to make ours look bad. They don't respond to the viable points that have been made, they just say oh its a piece of s**t and Moore is trying to do something. Yeah, make money and political statements. His movie is filled with lies and propaganda, and then when someone points it out, the base facts, people go haywire, because they are so devoted to the ideal. Come up with a better solution.
"Montecristos are not exported from Cuba" in much the same way marijuana is not exported from Mexico, which makes the 'idiot' name-calling particularly amusing.
