Hey man, don't get me wrong, I think you are doing a fine job with this. Hats off to you. I just think this isn't a problem specific to Foxconn. How would we be able to test all the motherboards out there? That's a lot of work. I have a Asus P5KC and I am starting to wonder about it's BIOS now after this debacle. I also have a Dell with the A09 BIOS, that one sure seems quirky form time to time.

That *IS* an affected model, call ASUS and request that they grab the patch from AMI that Foxconn is demanding.

"Do not buy a Foxconn motherboard until you see them explicitly issue a BIOS update for this problem!"I don't think I'll even be buying from them then."I also want to be perfectly clear that while Vista will go out of it’s way to compensate for a corrupt BIOS, that does not mean the BIOS isn’t corrupt, you shouldn’t have to trust your data to this even if you use Microsoft products."Why buy from someone who fails at writing a bios? They want my support now they would have to go as far as support an open bios, so someone else can take care of it.
