thinkprogress.org — On Fox News Sunday today, host Chris Wallace read an e-mail from a viewer attacking Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) for having yet to do an interview on Fox News Sunday. The viewer?s comments, echoes Fox News chief Roger Ailes?s hysterical claim that ?the candidates that can?t face Fox, can?t face Al Qaeda.?

Ahh, I could envision how an Obama interview would go on Fox.. It would go like this: "Thanks for joining us, B. Hussein Osama. A lot of people say that you are part of al-qaeda, on a scale from 1-10, how much do you hate America?" " with "Terrorist?" and on the bottom part of the screen.

Right, why should our possible future presidents ideas be challenged, that wouldn't help the country or his ideas?. I'm sure you'd like it if the republican candidate ONLY went on FOX news... I don't think Obama should have to talk to anyone who isn't sniffing his butt?

How about the biggest viewing audience in America? How about getting his message to the other side? How about some f**king scrutiny for the man who may become the most powerful person in the universe?

I think it was CNN who thinks he is Osama. http://algraffix.nstemp.com/obama_osama.jpg . Anyway if that happened to me, I'd go on, confront them, and put them in their place. All your comment seems to do is slander and discredit fox (irony) and protect Obama from the people learning out about him. How can he be perfect when he's obviously hiding something. If he truly believes what he says he would jump at every and any chance to bring it to the opposition. The liberal networks have smeared McCain, did he puss out?

Might as well debate Creationists over evolution.

That may be more relevant in the general election. I agree with the idea you seem to have been expressing that the public deserves as unbiased a picture as we can get of candidates from all political parties. However, any given candidate can decide how he/she wants to go about getting his/her message out. As you've said, no network is completely unbiased. Appearing on networks from both ends of the political spectrum probably doesn't average out to give an unbiased picture of a candidate anyway. Now, if you were talking about who should host debates once the primaries are over, that's a different story.

I just think anyone running for president of America, McCain included, needs to be put under the most intense scrutiny possible.
