For some reason I get the feeling that when he was delivering the news that new hip-hop song that says "I was gettin' some... gettin' gettin' some" was probably stuck in his head.
Given that explanation of "curb job", and considering the less esoteric options, it makes me wonder about Shepard Smith that he would choose that phrase as opposed to even, "escort her to the curb".
