thinkprogress.org — Today, Colombia?s Defense Minister Santos said that his country?s government had rescued 15 hostages including three U.S. military contractors from FARC rebels. As soon as the good news broke, Fox News was already spinning it as a victory for McCain and speculating that it came about as a result of the senator?s short visit to the country.

Fox News sucks, what else is new. This isn't news. Come on, why doesn't the successful infiltration and simultaneous rescue of 15 hostages (one of them former presidential nominee Ingrid Betancourt) held by extremist group FARC make front page news?If you haven't read it, it's a truly amazing story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080703/ap_on_re_la_am ...
