@brassoAnd thank God it isn't!Though I have to admit, Opera's torrent client lacks some functionality that more active torrent users can't live without. Hopefully we'll see some of that in this, I still don't see myself switching back to the Fox though.
@AgretI think he just doesn't understand that this plugin will integrate a torrent client into Firefox. He's currently just using Firefox to download the .torrent file then automatically pass it to uTorrent to actually handle it.
Agree... Opera is by far the most innovative browser, and browsers would not be the same without it. I also find it more efficient and intuitive to use than any other browser.
As you might have seen from other comments, the BitTorrent code itself is written in a highly optimized, memory and CPU-efficient service that runs separately from Firefox in the background. Thus Firefox is only used to monitor, control, view, or stream the downloads -- the downloads themselves continue in the background even when Firefox is restarted.
The reason FF won't integrate it is the fear as being seen as potential illegal activity in the eyes of some company-policy. FF prefers leaving out BT-support over being left out as an alternative for MsIE. The revolution has to come the other way around, legal sites providing software as .torrents. It first has to get the "legal" status FTP has, before anything will change. (and i'm not talking about Linux distro's, more about software used in the professional world)

"McAfee SiteAdvisor has that RedSwoosh domain as yellow, not Green!"Redswoosh isn't just "green", but it has a sweet bill of rights - <a class="user" href="http://www.redswoosh.net/learn_more_red_swoosh_client.php">http://www.redswoosh.net/learn_more_red_swoosh_client.php</a>It got a lot of hype from torrentfreak. Bram Cohen s**tting his pants?? Really????
