In the end, Glenn Beck may have actually helped real grassroots candidates in his defense of the corrupt establishment. He also imploded himself.Win, win!
EXACTLY. And to the people who had hope for Glenn NOT being a douchebag, I'm sorry I've spent much of the past year tossing cold water onto that idea, but I hope now that you see why people like me did it, and why calling him out as a fake-libertarian needed to be done, even though I *like* lots of Glenn's (*real* libertarian) fans.Richmomz got this exactly right. We've been in the liberty movement for a while, and experience has a few benefits to go along with the PITA that is old age...You might consider Rich & me the libertarian white blood cells of anti-douchebaggery, and clearly Beck set off a perma-douchebag alarm when he called us terrorists. I've been calling him a douchebag ever since, and Rich, while a bit more polite, has also gotten the same point across.
Benedict Arnold, a Pied Piper, infiltrator, back-stabber, CIA Mockingbird asset, call him what you will Beck can suck the devil's c**k with the best of them.
I looked up the comments he made concerning Paul during the primaries awhile back and was pretty angry but was listening to him more recently and thought, well maybe he's changed, especially after the interview he did with Paul last week. I thought it quite good. But this will help me to keep my guard up.So what is the point in the many good things he's doing? Is it so he can gain trust and then misdirect towards the wrong leaders or is it just to tear down up and coming folks lie Medina?
What I like about this incident is the fact that a supposed Beck "follower" now behaves in a way that's guaranteed to piss-off Beck himself, and that would be good enough...But it's also meta-annoying to the lefties (mostly) who claim that constitutionalists can't think for ourselves in the face of obvious contrary evidence like this. Thus, in one fell swoop we get big-time statist cognitive dissonance from both the borrow & spend warfare-state neocons *AND* the tax & spend welfare-state lefties, because both sides have found out they're once again full of s**t, and THAT mix is a sure-fire recipe for internet fun.
