Consult with your imam, or ask Islamic scholars, perhaps via their internet sites. The great majority of Muslim religious civic and religious leaders in the United States are funded by Saudi extremists, and are eager to implant their repulsive ideas in any Muslim who comes to them with questions.

BINGO! And though I generally despise the military and what it has done to this country in the last 60 years, I have to say that the real problem is the common dysfunction in large organizations to ignore problems until they blow up.

Christians believe in obeying the government:Romans 13:1-2, 7 (New King James Version) 1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. (...) 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. Is there some passage in the Kuran that says this sort of thing?

Why are you trying to drag in your atheist views in a discussion it has nothing to do with. He was merely stating the doctrine of different religions. Not trying to convert you.

First off, the leaders of Islam have always had an agenda; world conquest.Second, there is NO equivalent in the Koran to "render unto Ceaser". All must submit to Islam and its prophet. That tells me that Islam has no part calling itself a religion. It is solely concerned with political and worldly conquest.Another item is that people who leave can be murdered by Muslims as apostates. What other religion does that?

Protecting innocent lives should mean that hatred and extremism should be stopped before lives are lost.If that means outlawing a belief system, as the French have similarly called Scientology a criminal organization, then so be it.
