One thing I, and I expect most, never realised is that there's a world outside your own school.Like, it never occurred to me that the popular kids in my school were unknown in other schools, other cities. It's like your own school is the entire world, and the popular kids are popular the world over. And then suddenly it dawns on you that while they ruled in that microenvironment, they're insignificant in the macroenvironment. I'm not even happy about it: it's quite a depressing thought, and a reminder of how little everything matters in the grand scheme of things.
