youtube.com — John McCain has been exploiting his POW experience every chance he gets. He has used this story to justify everything from not knowing how many homes he has to his healthcare plan to his taste in music. But now a veteran who was a prisoner with McCain in Vietnam is explaining loud and clear that being a POW does not qualify McCain to lead.

This is old news, but still very effective. Voting for McCain is out of the question for most intelligent, caring people I know, but it is still very usefull to pass around this video to those who may be on the fence.I have read - on good authority - that Bill Clinton and his CIA contacts have some very powerful dirt on McCain's REAL POW experience that makes him out to be "Songbird McCain", who was given special treatment by the North Vietnamese for his cooperation. I'm sorry this didn't come out widely and I don't have the sources at hand to elaborate. I believe I saw it on Antiwar.com or possibly LewRockwell.com, two of my favorite sources for news background and analysis.Anyone who promises the country a hundred more years of Iraq BEFORE the election is insane; as is, anyone who would vote for him.Third Party is the only choice (Barr, probably, for me) so as not to give either Obama or McCain's owners any encouragement.

I cross referenced this on a news outlet (Washington Post), and it turns out Huffington Post is *not* mis-representing the story. The do so often, I'm actually surprised, but there it is.-Pie

I am confused about McCain's heroism. Why is a pilot who was shot down by a third-world nation considered a war hero? Certainly, spending more than five years in a war prison is not heroic, as the military teaches that war prisoners are obligated to escape or die trying. Remaining a prisoner gives the enemy a political pawn. So, will someone please explain where the hero part comes in?

Anyone paying attention couldn't possibly vote for McCain.
