The Open Computer with Leapord is going to cost you $555...For fourty-four bucks less you get you a 2.2Ghz Core2Duo as opposed to the $599 Mac Mini's 1.87Ghz CPU. It also gets you a 250GB HDD compared to the Mac's 80GB HDD. You get 2GB of RAM which is double the Mac Mini's. Are you seriously suggesting that WiFi and Bluetooth make up for the premium??? Hell, the $799 Mac Mini still doens't have as much RAM, HDD space, and processor speed as the Open Computer.
I don?t think think they care if apple wins or not. I?m guessing the media coverage they are getting is more they could ever afford to buy. What better way to get the name of your company and products into the market? This of course is just speculation.
The power cord I had on my G4 iBook seemed pretty decent to me when compared to the very expensive sony Vaio GRX-316 laptop I had before (it's power connector litterally fell into pieces due to it's own heat and somehow that voided Sony's lovely warannty). I don't mention the magsafe on my MBP, it's a dream come true.
thats like saying my house is secure... unless you have a key to it. you don't, and since my mac is in my house, it's more secure than your windows box
i fail to see how being environmentally conscious and owning a hybrid makes someone smug. if anything, it makes them less of a gas guzzling, manifest destiny assh**e
