While the person who wrote that might be some incomprehensible stoner, the video is still cool beyond belief

Damn this world... current events *ahem support our troops ahem* have me sympathizing more and more with the storm troopers. Seriously, anybody else feel really sorry for the poor guy begging for his life while being smashed against pipes?
If Jedi and Sith can do those things with just the Force, then wouldn't those lightsabers be just pointless?
Yes, this footage was ridiculous. Even Emperor Palpatine couldn't do most of that stuff. Are they nuts? This isn't Star Wars anymore.
No, it isn't pointless. As you have seen in the movies, a Jedi can counter the Dark Side of the force with the Light Side of the Force. Yoda can absorb lightning attacks, for example. So, assuming that two force wielders have equal power, and can counter each others force attacks, then it comes down to a battle of skill with the lightsabre.
That's not the problem. The magnitude of the force effects used in the game is beyond the scope Jedi are supposed to have. They're no longer Jedi, and this is no longer Star Wars. Now someone is going to say Star Wars should evolve. Fine, but the more you do things like this, the more contradictory it becomes, until it will die from mediocrity the same way Star Trek did.

I haven't read everyone else's comments, but I do want to clear a few things up. This video was shown at my school career day (I'm being dead serious here) by a LucasArts developer. He explained that this was shown directly to and approved by George Lucas a few months ago. He also said that it is a completely pre-rendered visualization of what they hope to accomplish on the Xbox 360 and PS3. He specifically stated that this particular game is not in development for the Nintendo Wii. He also showed the Indiana Jones video that has been circulating. The same goes for that what I just stated above. In other words: pre-rendered--Xbox 360 and PS3.
