valleywag.com — We went to the Blogger Lounge at the Microsoft booth on the Macworld floor. While we were there though, we found M&M's graced with the Microsoft Office, Word and Excel logos, comfy leather couches. And a computer that everyone in the lounge was very interested in -- but not the one you'd suspect.

Note the title - "For bloggers". Blogging requires little more than writing and web surfing. Hell, I've blogged from my Nintendo DS. If you need a little computer on the go for when inspiration hits I'd much sooner throw an OLPC into a knapsack then a $2000 rice cracker.

The EEE is just about there, one or more iterations to drive the price down, and a slight simplification of the process for recovering the system to the original state is all that is really needed.I've got one and in easy mode it's pretty idiot proof. On the other hand you can invoke full desktop and have a remarkably nice linux box.

OOOOhhh..... so that explains all the OLPC Blog posts I've been seeing on all the Apple blogs the last couple days... I mean, look at TUAW or macrumours or 9to5Mac, it's all they're talking about anymore.

You mean like the morons who bought the Razr for $600-$800 when it first came out?

You must have to s**t in Balmer's sunroof to get the Microsoft Macworld demo booth.
