popularmechanics.com — With a hand from Microsoft, NBC has re-engineered the tricked-out car once again for a full TV run this fall. The result, as the newly hired Knight Rider honcho described at Comic-Con 2008, is a shape-shifting, A.I.-thinking HAL 9000 on wheels.

The TV movie was god awful, I didn't think they'd make it into a movie either.

"I said open the driver side door, KITT!""I'm sorry Michael...I'm afraid I can't do that."

What are you, dyslexic? They said SUPER CPU upgrade, not SUPER CUP upgrade.

Hopefully none. The pilot was a heaping, steaming fetid pile of dogs**t, consisting of long drawn out interior-car scenes of two people driving cross-country, droning off some of the most crapulent dialog ever put to paper. Every so often Val Kilmer says something stupid. Oh, and the Hoff shows up at the end, says a few retarded things about he can't be a proper father to the lead douchebag, and then turns to stroll off into a pond. It makes me angry to think this coat-hanger abortion could get more than 6 episodes.

They went to Microsoft to get information on technology that is realistic and a few years off and they come back with... shape-shifting nanotech cars with superhuman inteligence.Good job!

If you actually watched the tv movie, the shape shifting involves changing the color and style features of the mustang... it doesnt become a robot or transform into a handy cheese straightener or anything silly like that.
