colourlovers.com — While controllers have seemingly become just more complicated and the games just the same, what’s been interesting to watch is the evolution of graphics over gameplay, specifically with Nintendo, the longest running console manufacturer.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from, but Irony has been used and abused for far too long. It's time to bring some prestige and class back to the word, instead of just seeing it used as a glossy replacement for 'weird'.

What's really sad is the fact that the younger generation, for the most part, really doesn't appreciate what Nintendo has done, and is still seen as "kiddy." All kids want nowadays is Halo and GTA, but they don't realize that those games probably wouldn't be around had it not been for the strides in video game technology that Nintendo made.

Nintendo did do a lot of good things but I also remember the bad that Nintendo has done. Remember they were once the un-disputed kings of the console world. They knocked themselves off of that perch with arrogance towards 3rd party developers and their consumers. It's ok to remember the good but don't gloss over the bad (which a lot of the younger generation seems to forget as well)

I noticed that =) It's a matter of choosing Wii sports which has simplistic graphics. The Wii is capable of much better graphics, but it is interesting to note that the graphics in the images for this article improve dramatically in all the cases except for the Wii. I don't think that's really disputable. I attribute the dig down to blind diggs against talking bad about the Wii. I agree with the first poster though even if I get blindly dugg down as well.

It seems kind of silly to follow all that advancement just by just looking at color depth.

Is anyone else *really* bothered by how almost every one of his sentences begins with a dependent clause?"Near the era of Pong and its sweeping of the United States, ...""Resembling much of an early Game Boy were it able to have colour schemes, ...""Selling over fifteen million copies, ...""Released in mid-October of 1985, ...""Even with mono audio, ...""When asked about launch title Super Mario Brothers, ...""Although a later title on the NES compared to the Mario launch title, ...""With the success of the NES over its competitor, ..."What's worse is that the depenent clauses also rarely have anything to do with the rest of the sentence, as if they're just randomly tagged on to the beginning of each sentence to make his writing style appear more advanced.
