In my limited experience I also think the UK has the best looking electrical fixtures too. Both the American and European style fixtures always look dated, knackered and for some reason beige? The MK range of fixtures are my personal favourite: http://www.screwfix.com/cats/A431906/Electrical-Su ...but the bog standard el-cheapo white ones are fine too.Of course there's all the brass, chrome and steel ones too (found in many new builds) but IMHO I don't think you need to draw attention and try to make a statement from your plug sockets
I'm just curious, in what situation would it be more difficult to pull the plug out and change it rather than leave it plugged it? Wouldn't changing the fuse whilst the device is still plugged in be a little more risky too?

Totally love this. I'd replace all my plugs with these happily, if they're durable.

If it is a problem for you have a look at Slimplug.com. Can't find them in the shops but you might get one on eBay.
