cbs4.com — After CBS4 News exposed police intimidation of citizens attempting to make complaints against police officers, Broward PBA retaliates by putting the CBS4 journalist's name on a list of criminals to be on the lookout for along with personal information on their website. Cross the cops, get your personal information released on the web.

Wow, thw association (and the reposter here), might have just violated the Federal & State (Florida) Driver's Privacy laws like : http://www.hsmv.state.fl.us/ddl/DPPAInfo.html by publishing "private" info on the internet.Seems like the reporter has an easy case now against the Police Assoc if they want a few hundred thousand $. (By the way, that would be paid by the union, not the taxpayers).

I actually just registered to post this, but this seems like a neat site, so I'll certainly hang around.Anyway: I've been a resident of Parkland and Coral Springs, two towns in Broward County, for about six years, and I am ashamed of my county. I've seen how pathetic our police force is, and that video is dead-on. This is one of the most disgusting abuses of power I've ever seen. If and when Mr. Kirsch fights back, I'll back him 100%. Letters to officials, phone calls, petitions, whatever it takes--the Broward County police need reform now, and this Dick Brickman guy needs to be fired immediately.

I was once pulled over by the cops with no real probable cause. They asked to search my vehicle and I asked them what they were looking for. "Burglar tools" was the reply.I asked them what they thought "Burglar tools" were. One of them spelled it out for me "You know, screw drivers, pliers that kind of thing."I told them "Well I do have screw drivers and pliers in the car." After spreading the legs a bit more, their response was "Son, now why on earth would you have screw drivers and pliers in your car?"My response: It's a 1976 Ford Pinto. They aren't burglar tools, they're my Fix Or Repair Daily tools. :-)I am impressed with the personal growth on the part of law enforcement in Florida. Even as late as 20 years ago they would have taken the journalist out to the alligator pond, kicked the living lights out of him and then pushed him in with the alligators.

According to http://www.bcpba.homestead.com/BOLO_Revised_.pdf the reporter in this case is trying to set these cops up to accuse them of profiling, by sending out a car w/ a white male driver, having him speed, and then sending out the same car with an african-american male driver. When the car gets pulled over (because it had been seen speeding,) the driver accuses the police officer of profiling, and tries to pick a fight. Of course, all the viewers see on TV is after the fight has been provoked. It is interesting to note that they are pulling this as a ratings stunt.

>"you've got to talk to me", but never said "no, we don't have a form".In any conversation, if you ask for something, and the response is the closest alternative then that means the thing you asked for is not available. I guess people who talk about IQs like you do tend to be idiots who don't actually talk to people regularly. The various articles mentioned that they don't have forms at the various places, btw. Having a form and hiding it would have been a much better story and would have been covered. So you are completely wrong there.>friend who wants to remain anonymous", yeah rightFine, then you come up with a plausible excuse for needing a form while not wishing to file a complaint. You can't say that you yourself wish to remain anonymous as you would have to fill out the info anyway. The reporter had no plausible need for the police to address, he just repeatedly asks for the form and ignoring everything else just to get a reaction.
