boston.com — The rising Mississippi River has broken high-water records up and down the Iowa and Illinois shore, cresting as high as 12 feet above flood stage in some places. Estimates place the cost of the damage at over $1 billion dollars, and concerns are rising over crop damage, toxic remnants that were washed into neighborhoods & future mosquito invasions

You know the difference between Iowa and New Orleans/LA? It isn't full of worthless corrupt Democrats in the local and state governments. Iowanians didn't sit on their hands while their own people perished to score political points against Bush like Ray "Chocolate City" Nagin and Kathleen Blanco did.

Can you tell me who wins the 2010 world series. I mean since you can see into the future and all...New Orleans had twice the population and was a completely different event.

I'm married and didn't get laid for 4 days. I had more important things to do other than personal gratification.

No, no sarcasm. I live in Cedar Falls. The teamwork of citizens in the area has been pretty amazing.

@slappypappy want to know why i think your full of s**t about saying your from st bernard parish? your referred to it as a county...its a parish, so get your s**t straight before you try to act like a coonass. second...we didn't reelect Blanco...we elected Jindal, we got that filth out of this state as soon as we could. Blanco was a joke and everyone knew it...New Orleans is full of dems because its full of people looking for a handout...not much industry going on there other then the oilfield.(Side note...i see you said st bernard parish...you read that somewhere and don't tell me you didn't)
