see top lists breeds favroritism and patronists and suck ups. also creates bias as well. I'd say no to any "top user" lists I have even excluded having post counts on any forums I run so people don't become post whores (they would do this very often on my forums so I got rid of it)
What if I don't WANT to be social with anyone? I just want my daily news, digg stuff I find interesting and GTFO. Screw wasting time tagging and browsing through 20 page forums...
Digg does not need another comment branch. There's only one reply to the first comment that is actually replying to that first comment, everybody else just wanted to be at the top so they'd get dugg up. Another comment branch would make this even worse.
I agree. Or maybe they could have some sort of points system, if your comments get dugg up then you get points which you can use to +/- digg sombody else's comment (but not stories). Just a thought.
I personally think that one feature about digg that is very unsocial is the feature to bury comments... Well, actually it's the people that abuse the function that are unsocial... That feature should only be used on posts that contain spam or ads, but NEVER on a post which just expresses a different opinion or attitude, because that is censorship and it's exactly what diggers are actually opposed to.

Please -- no tagging! ugh!It seems to me as though digg is a one, cool giant forum already. If I wanted to visit MySpace then I would, but I DON'T.
