Now the new iPhone is coming out it's within the realms of possibility I may get one at Christmas. As a student I may have to do a bit of scrambling for cash but hey, it is amazing!
Well if it were as easy as 3rd party apps, then why haven't they come out yet? It's certainly not due to a lack of consumer demand. And why have to go out of your way for a bunch of 3rd party crap anyway. I'm paying a ton of money. What Apple has done, by not including certain basic protocols and features in the iphone package can be compared to buying a BMW with no AM/FM stereo. "Well, satellite radio is the future, so why include and AM/FM radio, right?" Because EVERY car comes with one, and it just seems utterly ridiculous not to. That's why.

For example, the fact that the iPhone is not capable of sending or receiving MMS messages is bordering absurdity. I just wish I knew about all of its deficiencies BEFORE I purchased the phone. I have joined the ranks of the thousands of dissatisfied customers who were dazzled by the phone’s feature-rich package, only to discover later that they excluded some very basic elements – elements that I naturally assumed were included in all phones.Did they even perform a market analysis? How many tens of thousands of complaints have there been by people like myself? There are at least hundreds of forums addressing this very topic. Does Apple care about post-purchase customer satisfaction? Well, they already have my money, so why bother enhancing the phone's feature set with such a high-tech, cutting edge technology. In reality, it is sad to think that such a primitive, universally implemented protocol would be an enhancement at all. Good Job Steve.Worst is, I have seen no attempt from Apple to even address the issue. We deserve an explanation at the least. Apple has ignored their loyal customers’ demands, despite the continuous flood inquiries and negative feedback. What is feedback for anyway? I remember receiving multiple emails urging me to send them as much feedback as I could come up with. That patronizing waste of time is more than a little insulting. Why haven’t they updated the firmware to allow MMS messages to be both sent and received without navigating to a “user-unfriendly” website. I would even pay a decent chunk of change to purchase such a feature from the App Store.They should pay me for all of the people I’ve converted to Mac after liberating them from Microsoft Windows Penitentiary. But Apple has taught me a hard lesson - if you want a cell phone, purchase one from a cell phone manufacturer. Well, in the end it doesn’t matter. I’m sure Apple’s competitors are thanking Steve Jobs for all of his ideas. Now they’ll do it better and cheaper. And I’m sure they won’t ignore their customers.Shame on you Apple.
I don't undestand should we also have Dig on Five Reasons not to Buy the Apple iPhone 3G with contract???u mean you end up spending over 2k in 3 year contract just to have this phone. the good news is sometimes people should do some research on there own there is factory unlock iphones at some retail stores for around $700 you can get one from <a class="user" href="http://www.selectgsm.com/">http://www.selectgsm.com/</a> i purchased one there and very happy with my phone i can even update the software with no problems
