Interesting about the tab switcher functionality being suspended. Although I'm still unsure I like the idea of unnecessary features being added to firefox by default, as that's what addons are for.I'm mainly looking forward to the javascript boost. Although the only thing I really wish mozilla did at some point in the near future, is each tab as a separate process (such as webkit/chrome). It's so nice that - when a site is causing memory or cpu usage problems -you're able to close a tab and watch the browsers memory usage and cpu usage drop. WIth firefox it's depressing that STILL the only way to fix memory and cpu trouble is a restart of the browser.

I just realized that Chrome is probably my ideal browser. I am extremely tab-heavy in my browsing, and after a while Firefox becomes slow when you have so many tabs open. When you reboot Firefox, it takes a few minutes to warm up after opening all your tabs from the old session. If you have multiple windows open, Firefox only saves one if the browser crashes. With Chrome, the tabs open crazily fast when you start the browser. I have not yet experienced a significant slowdown from opening as many tabs as I do. My sessions are always saved even when there is more than one window. Crashes are even rarer now because each tab has its own process. And perhaps most importantly, Chrome is just faster with tabs. It scales up really really well.I used to be a Firefox fanboy and I still think it's awesome. But somehow it's worked out that Chrome is even better suited for me. It's not for everyone, but for someone who tabs as much as me, it is the s**t.

Wait a minute, you are AMS, and you use Firefox? Not even Camino? Such a hardcore Apple fan MUST use Safari, Steve Jobs wont be happy with you!
