@furtoI've got plenty of friends who live in Australia and who are on Facebook. Myspace isn't the only global site.

Google is so hyped. Great search engine and tech, very little real revenue. They need things to bring in more money so they are aquiring other companies although you wonder if they paid a bit too much for YouTube.They cant do whatever they want anymore. They are a public company now and shareholders dictate whats going on at Google as much as Google themsleves.

I don't consider FaceBook to be a fad whatsoever. They've proven that a good platform that utilizes the latest technology can be successful. FaceBook is true social networking. Everyone is connected to everyone else via links between their pictures, their personal settings and just about anything else. FaceBook is innovative, so is Google, the aquisition makes sense.

Why do people keep saying google should have got myspace :S... If google acually wanted myspace they would have gotten them already...They aren't paying any price for not getting myspace they obviously just didn't want it.
