gizmodo.com — The packaging is almost as sexy as the MacBook Air. The VAIO is not the thinnest model, but seeing the Air next to one of its nemesis gives you an amazing idea of the scale. This computer is frikkin paper thin.

I don't think I would want a laptop that thin. Seems like it would be too fragile and could snap in half if I wasn't careful with it. I prefer a more solid, rugged model with some meat to it.Just a gimmick with no real practicality IMO.

I must say I am impressed by the 505's specs. I sure wish I had a 10" screen and a "Point Stick" to navigate around it with!

well there are actually many more ultrathin laptops to compare with:<a class="user" href="http://www.maconair.com/compare">http://www.maconair.com/compare</a>I think Lenovo X300 can become a serious competitor for Air.
