firstshowing.net — First things first, we all know what Hugh Jackman looks like as Wolverine - we've seen him in three X-Men movies - so this isn't about a first look at Wolverine, but rather a first look at the new movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and some interesting quotes from USA Today.

I don't see why they don't just do the movies nice and gritty in a comic book style like the HBO Spawn series.

That is so true. Considering Wolverine is probably over 100 years old, and the Weapon X program occurred before Gambit was even born or was to young to even make a difference. Never been a big fan of Gambit.

Not to mention it looks like a beginner Photoshop user spent 20 seconds sticking them on the photo.

They (Marvel) had to do something with him when Magneto removed the adamantium from his body, so they made him have bone claws. The debate at the time of the adamantium removal is whether or not the claws are part of his mutation or if his healing factor filled in the void left by the claws. It wasn't until Origins that they revealed that the claws were part of his mutation and first manifested in his teens. As to his age, Origins, if I remember right, takes place in the late 1600's.

Wolverine's claws look like knitting needles photoshopped in.

And, he (David Hayter) starred in Guyver and Guyver 2: Dark Hero... essentially, the equivalent of Bandai's Power Rangers but with LOTS more blood, but equally awful acting (and awesome haircuts.)

there is no respect for the purists. Why not add a few Transformers and one of the Ninja Turtles too, maybe Michael Bay can write them into the story.
