arstechnica.com — A new study from the security watchdog firm Secunia has revealed that of all major web browsers, Firefox is kept most up to date with security patches. Unfortunately, users of other popular applications aren't so vigilant.

No, but it does mean you'll get rightly buried for posting such a stupid comment.

I can use Opera 5 right now (that is, not update it to current version) and still it will be ten times safer to browse net compared to IE or FF. That's the difference and reason why Opera users don't even bother with updating (and why there are no auto updates).
wooteryMay 20, 2007
No. You were trying to justify Opera not having a good update system. My assumption was logical, albeit wrong.

What I was really trying to say is that Opera is a safe browser, updates or no updates for ages. I guess that's a bad reason to justify a 'good update system' but then the only fixes they release come with new features which means you just download a small 4 MB file with all the fixes inside (they release lot's of beta but you don't have to bother with them at all for security or anything else).EDIT: Either way, it doesn't matter. Opera and FF both are better than anything IE and I don't want to flame any of them... excluding IE.
