Indeed. By logic, Opera should probably be the most popular browser. Only problem with Opera is it isn't open sourced and it doesnt have the same extension capability as firefox.I think Opera will end up taking over firefox in the future though. It's kinda inevitable when people start realizing that Firefox is still ruled by the organisation we all hated before - Mozilla. Not only that, but for most people they simply CANNOT run firefox as it's system requirements are too high for third world countries. Opera on the other hand runs relatively well on a Pentium I based system with 64mb or so ram.I wish people would stand up and fix firefox and make it back into a browser that was lightweight. Nobody seems to care around digg and such as they are all lucky and have fast computers. But in the third world, and on grandma's computer firefox will _never_ be an option as a result of the ever increasing resource requirements.

I would think a large portion of Internet users don't even know the name of the web browser they are using, nor do they consider it a replaceable application the same way they might consider Photoshop a replaceable application. My father is a good example of this kind of user. I had to explain to him that the program he previously used to surf the Internet was called "Internet Explorer 7", but that he now should use Firefox. For him it was just a question of double-clicking a different icon to start "the Internet".The reason behind the switch, by the way, was a virus.

Explorer is too slow, chunky and unresponsive. No dictionary function like Firefox which works like a dream. IE is dreadfully slow to start up, eats your memory and opening new tabs is a major pain. In other words - its a typical Microsoft application... full of bugs!

He writes 'are' as a single 'r'. Even an average twelve-year-old here in Europe is capable of typing out the word 'are' properly.Same goes for 'u' instead of 'you'. It's not that hard to hit two more keys.

"But face it, it's the best"Why do you have to be so ignorant? I enjoy using firefox myself, but a large majority of the time I simply CANNOT use it due to the systems I use. When a browser starts changing from it's original goals of being lightweight so everyone can run it, to being a browser which few people can run do you not think it kinda pisses people off? do you not think they are then forced to look for alternatives..?No browser is the best, and it's a result of people making comments like "OH MY GAWD FIREFOX IS TEH BEST" or the stupidly immature stuff that I saw on dell ideastorm like "FIREFOX IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING" and "U CANT GET VIRUS USING FIREFOX" that is degrading the community around firefox.. seriously will you people just open your eyes? If you want people to keep on using firefox then you will make a fork and make sure that you maintain it for use on low spec machines and the growing mobile markets. As it is, firefox will never have a hope on low spec machines and the mobile market (both of which have a very large userbase).
