In a tightly controlled environment such as a corporate office, IE's not as dangerous (they won't let you visit "fancy sites" which would send IE into heart attack), so it's relatively safe to use because you have an IT team making sure each patch does what it should and doesn't compromise security. Apparently it's cheaper than installing another browser.
Ever hear of a "gateway?" These things that filter out all the nasties like that. Not to mention that Firefox does not have group policy controls or the other tool sets that IE provides in a corporate environment.
I like Firefox of IE personally but if Microsoft wants to gain back some of those users then need to come out with a new better feature, or a better look or something like that instead of copying the things that Safari and Firefox have already done. Be original that's the best way to get more users.
I agree 100%!!!! just put IE SUX and if you want to know what IE is going to be like in it's next release just look at Firefox today!! People still use IE....wow!!

We have an internal pricing system at work, and neither Firefox nor Chrome work correctly with all the menus...only IE =(
