I saw the pilot in July and this show looks great. I'm watching it, firefox or not.

Eamon: You underestimate the teenage audience's attraction to anything that might be remotely "new" or "hip" or "cool." If some Hott Dude is using Firefox, God knows they'll at least go check it out.

Firefox is sooo overrated. Sure it's good, but this whole GET FIREFOX and SPREAD FIREFOX stuff is just rediculous. It's still in BETA as far as I'm concerned.

So, targetted advertising and product placement within television programs is a bad thing, unless it's Firefox or FOSS? And here I thought geeks were supposed to be logical and intelligent...

disord3r, most people don't think product placement is a bad thing unless it gets in the way of the plot. Everybody I know loves the way Seinfeld did product placement. How many people here still smile when they see a box of Junior Mints?mattjb, no royalty fee would be necessary. It's the same as when a Ford is shown parked on the side of the road. Either Ford paid to have it there or, usually, it's pretty much a random vehicle that was brought in along with several others.
