Nice. Now I don't have to do anything to be protected from those annoying S.O.B ads.

If everybody blocked Google ads, Google would die. 100% of their income is from online ads. Many great free sites would die too, because they would not be able to pay the incredible monthly webhosting costs. For the sake of Google, free sites and other great content, I hope that those who block online ads will be the minority.

popups = annoying, i can understand that but....ads in line with the page content=needed to keep the 'net alive, please don't use this.

Lately I've been linking most of the main offending sites to 127.0.0.1 in my hosts file. I do have Adblock installed, but I mainly kill site ads only when they're particularly annoying. As others have said, many sites depend on Ad revenue, and -- if the marketers have done a good job -- maybe the content of the Ad will be related to the site that you're actually interested in.

On a side note, the extensions works in Mozilla 1.7.8 (haven't tried .10 or SeaMonkey yet).

I think people who use adblockers don't generaly click ads anyway, so I don't think this is a real threat.
