@listrophyNot sure if you'll read this, but someone has created something that creates all the stub files here:http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=381720

Useful site but not enough I think.. Mozilla should have a more in depth tutorial on its own dev site.

Just glancing over the linked tutorial, I see he suggests using Winzip to zip and package the XPI. This gets really old by the second time you need to repackage your extension. Something like 7-zip and a batch file (if you are on Windows) makes repackaging everything in your extension a one click process. When I started off creating Adsense Notifier, the tutorial that was the most helpful to me was from roachfiend - http://roachfiend.com/archives/2004/12/08/how-to-create-firefox-extensions/ (same guy who made the BugMeNot extension)

He's using bugmenot as an example to show how to make an extension - may as well go to the tutorial from the developer who created that extension - http://roachfiend.com/archives/2004/12/08/how-to-create-firefox-extensions/That's the tutorial that got me started when I created Adsense Notifier - http://code.mincus.com/3/adsense-notifier/
