you can use a local file too, which gets update from time to time by mozilla.This is the default, not google :)

I don't see what's wrong with building it in. I use Opera as my main browser, Firefox as my backup, and IE as a last resort. As long as you have the ability to remove it. I like the way Opera's voice browsing works. It only installs it when you first use it. So if you never use it, you never have the files.They should do the same in Firefox.
