mashable.com — The pace at which Mozilla works can seem insane. It was less than a month ago when the the company released Firefox 3.5. But the ambition doesn’t end there. The Firefox team is looking even farther in the future: all the way to Firefox 4.0.

About time for the combo button. Minimize clutter. First addon I install with any new Firefox is Stop-or-Reload.Not sure how I feel about the top tabs. Chrome is setting trends! Safari experimented with that in the Saf4 beta, but ended up going with the standard tabs below the location bar.

It's called "passion". We really like what we do. :)

We have something even better coming up (in my biased opinion, of course). :)

I think the address field is going to be merged with the search engine field on the address bar, as Chrome does it. I actually didn't like the fact that I didn't have the option to get rid of that search engine field in IE7 and even in previous FF versions. The merged address-search bar is one of the big features that turned me on to Chrome. I am probably going to stick with Chrome unless Firefox catches up with it, and it has a ways to go, but at least is is far ahead of IE.

Opera is in a completely different league, like always.I'm sure the major feature in firefox 6 or 7 will be Firefox Unite.

The problem with tabs on top is that it is much easier to grab a tab when you really want to grab the window.

I just want it to be faster then Chrome and webkit. That would be awesome. Also I prefer my bookmark menu on the left.

Look at the second photo. Search and address bar is merged. This has actually been the case with all browsers for a while now, but they keep that extra box there for .... people who can't figure it out. Sort of like how so many browsers kept that 'go' button next to the address bar.

Every single statement from mozilla on this subject has stressed 'you can choose what you want' ahead of any other point they make. Have you actually read anything in these comments or on the various pages linked from here?Sheesh.

These would be a lot less ugly if they turned off Aero Glass before taking them, or used the classic theme on XP. Why has the Windows UI looked like absolute s**t since Luna?

@kanojo1969 Wow! Dredging up an old topic, eh? Well, thanks to Digg's email-you-replies bit, I guess.Anyway, yes the click+enter method works, but it's not nearly as easy as just "click"
