The three main features being introduced are: Bookmark Stars, Bookmark Tags, and Smart Bookmark Folders.

Show me where they were solved. I said nothing about speed. I said the application froze if the sql-lite profile files reside on a different disk than the app. The latest beta (5) still has this problem.

it also searches in the bookmark description and nickname you can set just by clicking add details (dont need to add to title)

In FF2, they've cut down a lot of functionality in their bookmark manager from FF1 because half of it weren't implemented properly and were too buggy to be worth fixing all. FF2 bookmarking feature was left alone to rot because developers knew they were going to be replacing it with a completely different system.By the way, isn't the bookmarking "star" feature pretty much the same as the one in IE7?

Isn't there some way to get private browsing in FF3? I thought it was going to be included, but I'm sure there's an add-on that'll enable it assuming that I'm mistaken.

Not really wretcheddawn, I used Firefox 2 and 3 on a Pentium 2 (350 MHz) and while it didn't gallop like a maverick, it certainly went fast enough not to piss me off.

Yes to both scamper22 and to tizzle22! I've started doing this with FX3 since I posted this. There's a great Firefox extension that enables you to change the icons of a bookmark (in case a site doesn't have one) - Favicon Picker 3. So much valuable space saved!I use Delicious to bookmark sites still, because sometimes I want to make sure I can find them later, but I generally search for them later also. There's a great Greasemonkey script that makes bookmarking on Delicious quick and dead easy - Del.icio.us Auto Tag.

I am sorry I love Firefox, but the new firefox bookmark system completely sucks & it sucks so bad that I have switched back to version 2.0.0.14 with updates turned off because the new one is crap atleast to me. This new firefox bookmarking system is for disorganized people that are to slow to learn how to create a simple folder. They need to give someone a choice, like a selection to choose if you want this new system or the old one & I for one like the old one because the new one is very buggy & it takes forever to do anything & the old one is fast & it also picks the right folder & works like it should & use to.

I repair systems & build new systems & I am sorry my customers have even been asking me to put the old one on it because the new one keeps messing up there bookmarks & I second that & third that,they need to fix it or I guess atleast I will not be updating my security in firefox with there updates anymore because I refuse to use this new bookmarking system, plus I have thousands of bookmarks & counting & I know how to make & organize my own bookmarks & I do not need a dumb star to tell me where to put my bookmarks, I hate smart crap that they ad to our software because it always tends to be for those idiots that will not do a simple google search on how to do something because they are much to slow to just read a how to post in a forum,then us that knows how to organize our bookmark folders the right way, we then get penalized for knowing what the heck we know & these idiots change the system to a system that can't do anything correctly besides crash & take forever to do a simple task which has made me switch back to the old one & I even backed up the extensions well like I normally do but this time was just incase they take them off line because I think they are going to keep updating with this pathetic new newbie bookmarking system that sucks-sucks sucks & sucks!!!!!!!!
