Deff. can use a flash drive bootable, version. I found a nice like package with firefox, open office, sudoko, and some chat client. and most work places dont stop you from using flash drives.

Yes, this is a known problem experienced by some FF3 users (problem with new Yahoo Mail version not with Classic version).
