I'm running it on a macbook pro and I quite often get the damn spinning ball. I think it's best on windows having tried it on ubuntu osx 10.5 and windows 7.

I run both Safari 4 and Firefox 3.5 at the same time, both have memory problems. But firefox crashes less often.

Hmm, never felt Firefox 'lost it's way'. And for sure never thought it was getting close to IE. How is that even possible?
