This release fixes several security issues described as a memory corruption issue making users vulnerable to phishing and spoofing. This release is also the first to have been tested through a newly executed beta testing program for security and update releases.

I think he's referring to the problem in Vista where the Firefox WMP11 plugin won't load in the browser. I understand the need for all the decimal places, but seriously, people bitch about OS X point updates (10.4.9) making front page here, and this is a point point release. Everyone that uses Firefox knows when it's updated anyways because that's all they care about.

Ubuntu makes their own version of Firefox..(somewhat). They add a bunch of s**t to it and then they take away the Check For Updates option so you cant upgrade to the newest version of the damn browser until they add their crap on there.

not a fan of firefox 2 to be honest, GUI has taken a horrible twist, but it goes places opera wont, so off to yum --enablerepo=development update firefox - i go
