dnsstuff.com— I know dnsstuff.com has been submitted numerous times, but check out, http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/city.ch?ip= to find out what city it's in. I use this in IDS scripts that i write, and it is very handy.

This is so stupid. It only shows you the registered location of the company who owns the IP address space you've been assigned. Where in my case it Comcast, Inc, from Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Except I'm a customer in the Chicago suburbs. So this basically won't work unless your ISP has taken the time to register their IP space to the cities they serve and not all of them do.
The person who posted the link doesn't really know what they are talking about I guess. It is going to show you the City that your IP is generated out of. So if you are rural than it is going to show you the network hub of the network you attach to. http://www.getyourowntots.com
hey as one of my first submits to digg, i think digg did what it was supposed to do, and that's teach. I knew from the start it wasn't the best thing in the world, and in no way could it be 100% accurate, but it does help a little bit, and all the people who posted additional info and links are much better then the people who complain.
