Of course they knew. Since the Bush administration took over it has been all about favors to corporate buddies. Notice how much more corporate and political corruption there is since Bush took over. Democrats have done NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING to fix this problem and there is no reason to believe that Republicans will either (Ron Paul being the only one saying anything about this loudly at this point). Our two party system is a sham. They argue whether abortion should be legal or not, when the real issues RIGHT NOW are our economy going into collapse and a war being fought where friends and family are dying to fuel some rich f**ker's wallet. Oil and greed are the two things this war is about. Terrorists are a minor part of this. The Bush administration made them by attacking them. You can't start a fire until you light a match. The Bush administration not only stoked it but poured gasoline on the situation and continues to do so. This applies to the "war on terror" and the financial meltdown we are seeing. The so called experts who are talking about how they can fix it are also the same retards who created the mess!! How the hell are we supposed to trust them??The Bush administration is heading into dangerous territory messing with the people. They may have soldiers but the people have numbers. And guns, lots of guns. This is where liberal mentalities fail. the NRA is a good thing. The only gun control existing should be the one you apply with your own two hands. It is only a matter of time before people get imprisoned and fear gets instilled into the general populace to try to keep them under control. And push people enough and they will push back. History shows this. The only thing we as a people seem to learn from history is how to ignore it. French Revolution and the American Revolution were both caused because the bankers and ruling class impoverished the people. Leaders rose from among the people and dealt with the ruling class and the bankers. Only now we have them back here again making these attempts. Maybe now in the information age we can address this more publicly. Hopefully congress grows a pair and does something. But I am not counting on it since they are in cahoots and more often than not part of the problem being that they in many cases are the "bankers and businessmen" who are part of the problem. I used to believe in the government. I believe in the ideals this nation WAS founded on. Not the ideals it stands for right now in actions. For those political zealots (obamaites and mccainers) who will bury me down and flame me for my opinions. Mark my words reality will hit you like a brick in the face in the years to come as this all gets worse. Then you will see that you were wrong (or you will side with the "elitists" causing the problems. When you are struggling to find a job or making ends meet even with a job, you will start to question whether you voted the right way or whether you should not have done something about it earlier on instead of attacking people who thought differently than you. Make no mistake it will be a republican or democrat in office this November. The game is rigged against anyone with a real voice. We are given the lesser of two evils. The lesser of two evils is still evil. The only change Obama brings to the White House is a new face with a new voice singing us the same old song. McCain beings us an old face with a new voice with the same old song. We won't see any real change until the current establishment and system in place is taken out. This finance crisis was brought about by the same people who are running with the people running for President as well as people currently in office and the people currently appointed by the people currently in office. Look at the larger picture. They are all connected. CNN FOX news all the larger networks are a sham as well. They are doing the news for a buck and nothing more. Real news is only found where concerned citzens are willing to make the sacrifice to get the news out there. Being well paid reporters does not motivate them to tell the truth. just make sure they do what they need to to get their next paycheck and their next promotion.The people up top have caused this problem and are getting ready to make it worse with even dumber decisions by covering up their mistakes. It will only get worse and in the end lots of people will pay for it both financially and with their lives if they cause a revolt. Because it seems the way things are going we are steadily heading in that direction, and the Govt knows it. That is why they stationed an entire batallion of troops permanently on US soil for the first time in history. They are here to stop the enemy. Who is that enemy? We the People are.
