Did anyone else notice uTorrent "phoning home" to Bit Torrent after they were bought? It pops up on Peer-Guardians bad list, and I don't like it.

Meh. I still use good ol' Azureus. Using uTorrent is like using the original BitTorrent though

Bittorrent official client was. Utorrent never had a version 5.

You definitely don't understand how it works. Some hired scumbags (like BayTSP, look those bastards up) were monitoring the tracker you were on, connected to you, downloaded a part of the file they were looking for in order to validate that you were indeed spreading the copyrighted material they were watching for, and then reported you to Comcast (to get Comcast to send you a C&D notification) and/or the MPAA.This stuff happens dozens of times per day on an automated basis. As much as Comcast sucks (and I HATE Comcast with a passion and slam those scumbags with every opportunity I get), I can just about guarantee that they weren't the ones who got the ball rolling on this one -- someone lit a fire under their ass and they came down on you. Happens literally every day.

I usually do not search for happy hardcore songs that thirteen year olds have imported into sound editor and pitched up 20%, no.

Oh, you mean like me? No, I never thought of people like me. Clearly you've never thought of people like me, who have such limited hard disk space on their Windows partition they can't download anything via uTorrent even if they wanted. Anyway Transmission is good enough on the Mac OS X side.Have you ever visited the comments page for a Mac torrent download? There's ALWAYS someone asking how to open a DMG, which means they are on Windows.
