I agree with atomicwedgie. The only reason you get all bitchy and flap up is because you wanna show "how much you know, and how slow all the rest of us are". Go some other place to heighten your self-esteem.Two things:1) Stop bitching about the story being too old - it got voted in because people found it useful or relevant in today's context. (it's slightly different when a story gets promoted with 14 diggs - but that doesn't really happen that often) - if you really want to, and can't stand that others might find this useful even today - use the report-function2) Stop bitching about the story being a dupe - who cares? This is not a popularity contest. Of course you can get some info on the human psyche by looking at differences - but in the end this is a democratic process - and I don't care if my story or your story gets promoted - as long as it's the same news. - if you must bitch, then use the report-function.Thank you for your time in reading this.
This feat cannot be acheived with any PHP installation that uses mod_php (unless someone makes an extension to PHP.. get out your C compiler).PHP can do what Perl does in this software if it is executed through CGI, but Perl over CGI is A LOT more common than PHP/CGI.
I tried it a while ago and it didn't want to work on a VPS, there was some problems "Flength" file could not be found or something... tried everything, didn't work...So if your application will be running on a VPS it might not work...
anyone seen something similar that would also notify someone via email? I have an old cgi that does that...but at times get zero length files...so it's time to try something else. When clients upload something, we like to get notified immediately via email. If anyone has modified this or knows of another that does it...please share.
Identically upload progress bar script called Xupload could be found at <a class="user" href="http://www.sibsoft.net/xupload.html.">http://www.sibsoft.net/xupload.html.</a> It's quite similar to uber uploader, but besides free version also have commercial version with a lot of features and free install support. XUpload will work on any hosting, virtual/shared or dedicated and on all platforms driven by Apache Web Server - Linux or Windows. We're working on Mac compatibility now.
well, your comment hasn't got a lot of digs, negative ones,it might be a dope abut every single script is different, only if the scripts are exactly the same, you can call it a dupe!regards,
