livescience.com — If only Goldilocks had a c**kapoo. A 15-pound c**ker spaniel-poodle mix named Pawlee scared off a mother bear and her two cubs Sunday morning after they strayed into his owners' back yard. Whether his bark was worse than his bite, Pawlee's tactic worked just fine. These three bears got the hint and took off.

Wow, that is really cool. I have two dogs, and all they do is eat turtles. It makes me so mad because turtles are majestic in their own right. I hate going outside and seeing another headless turtle. They aren't even a threat to me. Now bears on the other hand would be a threat. But we don't have any. So I guess my dogs think turtles are the problem. I hate it.When I was a little kid I did have an cat who ran off a rottweiler (spelling?). He was the talk of the town I'm sure. He was like a king cat, much like a lion, and he was orange, much like a lion. It was awesome, and I was proud of him. Recently though he got diabetes and died. He was about 18 years old. May he rest his peace. May the afterlife be sweet.

Bears have been running from dogs for centuries. Even really large bears will run for a long time before they decide to turn and fight.
