I used to work for Equifax, the largest credit reporting agency.I spoke with a woman with a smart house, who had her Mac hacked into from the Internet. She said her whole house was going crazy and that they broke into all of her financial accounts. When I looked at her credit report, there was about 30 different fraud claims.

@legendxx: "and offers absolutely nothing ground-breaking in the features department."Ahem... NAP. It saved the asses of three small businesses whose networks I helped design.

OS X is a better operating system than Windows in my opinion but I still use XP simply because of some applications/games that are Windows-only. Macs, from a hardware perspective, are not that great for the most part and while they look prettier, they aren't as reliable. This is coming from an ex-Mac user, by the way.

Vi$ta sucks. No Vista for me. Install OSX; Problem Solved. IOSX :DThis is not good for Vista at all, why the hell did they remove the Gopher protocol and some customizations abilities of the shell? The kernel is also less stable than XP. Down with VISTA!!!! Down with vista.

A quick google will return dozens of results with new stories mentioning that "Longhorn has now been named Vista", from during the beta phase. Doesn't matter that they had a restart half way through, it was still called Longhorn in development, and it had the same promised feature set.

Most of these won't be missed, however removing things like the following don'doesn't make sense:The All Users wallpaper can no longer be changed. All Windows Vista machines now show the same wallpaper at the logon screen. (so you can only display vista's default which acts as another advertisement for the os you already know you are running)The NetBEUI protocol is no longer supported. (so you have to use netbios which is a security risk?)It is not possible to override AutoPlay by pressing the SHIFT key as was possible in previous versions, though it can still be disabled through Control Panel (removing this is another security risk)AutoPlay settings cannot be configured per-device; they are set globally. (so people will have them all on by default now which is a security risk for usb)The "Status" bar no longer shows the total space used by a folder when displaying a folder's contents or free space remaining on the disk. (why?)All of these features being removed seem highly unnecessary .
