komotv.com — Two farmers granted the first licenses in the nation to grow industrial hemp filed a federal lawsuit to get final permission from the Drug Enforcement Administration. "What they say is hemp, we say is marijuana," said Garrison Courtney, a spokesman for the DEA in Washington.

I think the goverment has illegaly overstepped its bounds by making the growing of hemp and marijuana illegal. The fact that it continues to leave these things illegal while you can still go to the bar, get wasted, and smoke a cancer stick sickens me.Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Its time we the PEOPLE grew some f**king cajones and stood up for our s**t. IM talking about the million man/women(large breasted ones) naked blaze down march on Washington. Basically we all walk to some protest location. Take off all our clothes (so the news media will cover it) and smoke fat doobies in front of their faces. We decide whats legal bitches.

Ross Perot would have legalized it too.

Very few people seem to realize that Marijuana and Hemp are two different things. They are both varieties of the same plant, yes, however they look different, contain different chemical structures (IE: less than 1% THC.. you can't get high), and are harvested differently. It's not like you could grow hemp under the guise of using it for manufacturing purposes and then sell weed on the side. I suggest the following link, as it is a good read:http://azhemp.org/Archive/Package/Legal/legal.html

There's no "may be" about hemp being easier to cultivate than soybeans. Soybeans have to be coddled and heavily pesticided. Hemp is a weed. It takes care of itself.

Your reasoning is silly. We shouldn't outlaw something simply because it would require a retooling of the farm industry. Let the market take care of that. The issues you raise aren't even on the DEA's list of reasons to not legalize hemp.

It's clear that a lot of people in the USA are turning against this ridiculous, immoral, illegal (unconstitutional) and ineffective War On Some Drugs.Get in touch with organizations opposing it. Contact your representatives (repeatedly). Actively support policians opposed to it (Ron Paul for example)
