Blogs about typography are a waste of time. Why would anyone use anything other than Arial? It's the the best typeface ever, and there's really nothing that can even hold a candle to it's elegance and usability.

It's not about "liking" or "hating," it's about visitors to your website being able to read it easily. But if that's not an issue, then you might consider doing your site in 19th century circus-poster type. All upper case, of course.

Or you could use Opera 10, which has been around for quite some time, which supports web fonts.
